Deskreen is a free Linux application that provides a clever workaround to this problem, one that makes it possible for you to view multiple windows at once across additional displays without spending anything. Simply put, it enables you to convert other devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, and even smart TVs, into wireless, secondary displays for your computing tasks.
Superscreen transforms your Android, iPhone into a tablet
Just enable Second Screen on your Samsung tablet, then press Win + K shortcut on your Windows computer and the screen above will appear showing options for wireless display connection. Select the tablet and now your tablet will either mirror or go into extended desktop mode.
Note: You can also extend your monitor on your laptop with a laptop screen extender (or a portable monitor). This appears to be a common alternative to softwares that turn a tablet into a second monitor.
Since we have reviewed many Apple-only mirroring software, it is time to examine Super Display, an Android mirroring software. Super Display is one of the most popular apps that turns your Android device (tablet or smartphone) into a portable display for your Windows PC. All you need to do to expand or duplicate your screen is to connect your devices via a USB cable.
For all these reasons, Super Display is a prime solution for artists and graphic designers who want to use their tablet as a graphics tablet. The Super Display actually allows you auto turn your android into a graphics tablet. As far as stylus pens go, see our post on the Best stylus for drawing on Android.
If you require a tablet with stylus for remote/hybrid teaching, DTU Compute can supply you with a Samsung S6 Lite with S Pen (Using "best in class" Wacom EMR digitizer) and a protective case. The tablet can be very handy in both standard remote teaching but also in an auditorium during hybrid teaching. It is possible with superDisplay (superDisplay) to show any program running on the laptop, on the tablet, and use the tablets stylus as pen input device for that program. The tablet simply becomes an additional monitor for your laptop and you can draw on that monitor. This works without any latency and is truly plugnplay. This extra monitor can be shared via streaming, projector etc. It can also do it via wifi, completely wireless, though with a (surprisingly) small amount of latency. It is also possible to join either Zoom or MS Teams meetings and share the tablet screen very easily (simultaneous joined with a laptop or other device also), to show live annotation of PDF's, or use the highly recommended program Nebo, to live sketch equations, fomulas, text, diagrams etc. Nebo is also able to recognize your handwriting and can convert this into text. It can also do this with equations and formulas, translating these into LaTeX and show the output. The LaTeX code can also be exported if needed. Because S6 Lite is a Android tablet, many more apps are available in the store if needed.
Run a second X-server with vnc backend on your computer, use xdmx to combine that into one desktop with your computer screen, then look at the virtual part with a vnc viewer on the tablet - didn't work for me because xdmx requires all X-servers to have the same color visuals, which is not the case for the VNC server and the real display, and I wasn't able to convince vncserver to change. 2ff7e9595c
